The Client and Participant Taboos No One Talks About

The client and participant taboos no one talks about…

Sometimes we’re blessed with Soul-aligned clients.

And sometimes… we’re blessed with clients who show up with the following:

- Psychic competition

- Ego/power battles

- Parental projections

- Victim consciousness

- Energy vampirism

- Cursing + hexing

- Pedestaling (which inevitably turns into psychic attack)

- Soul theft

- Spiritual chaos through energy manipulation

- Intentional disruption (like calling in non-aligned spirits)

- Belittling other participants under the guise of “healing”

- Shadow dynamics of every flavour

And the truth?

I’ve engaged in some of these myself in the early stages of my journey. It took wise, grounded teachers to lovingly name the wounded patterns I couldn’t yet see — ouch. I’m so grateful for their love and courage.

Later, I had to learn to hold those very patterns when they started showing up in my spaces. I had to recognise them… name them… and alchemise them into healing.

This is how Tribal Council was born.

When certain behaviours start affecting the collective field, they need to be addressed in a tribal way — where the container itself becomes the medicine.

This is warrior work. It’s not for everyone.

Not everyone can sit in Tribal consciousness without projecting, collapsing in their wounds, or defaulting to blame. But I’ll keep showing up for those who can. Because true group work must hold the fullness of our humanity — not just the pretty parts.

This work is not easy. Most people are used to “love and light” spaces, where all of this is ignored, excused, or dismissed.

But let’s be honest, we come to this work as wounded healers. And the wounds must be witnessed, cleansed, and transformed — or they’ll continue to run the space from the shadows.

Modality trainings rarely prepare you for this.

But this? This is the real work. This is energetic mastery.

Learning to spot the drama to stay steady in the fire, to meet it with both compassion and clarity. That’s the kind of medicine that changes lives — yours and theirs.

This wisdom wasn’t learned in a textbook or google. It’s been hard-won through lived experience, sacred error, thousands of clients, over 500 ceremonies and years of refinement.
